Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) announced developments in an alleged corruption case involving Ponorogo’s suspended Regent Sugiri Sancoko.

‘Dari perkara Ponorogo ini, KPK kembali menerbitkan sprindik (surat perintah penyidikan) baru per akhir April kemarin,’ KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo said at the Red and White Building of the KPK, Jakarta, on Tuesday evening (19 May).

Budi explained that the KPK issued two new sprindik related to the case, namely an ordinary sprindik or one in which no party has been named as a suspect yet.

Additionally, he disclosed that one of the sprindik issued relates to alleged money laundering.

He conveyed this in connection with searches conducted by the KPK in Pacitan and Ponorogo, East Java, on 18-19 May 2026.

Previously, on 9 November 2025, the KPK named four people as suspects in a case of alleged bribery for processing appointments, a project at the Dr. Harjono Ponorogo Regional General Hospital (RSUD), and other receipts or gratuities within the Ponorogo Government.

The suspects were named following a hand-arrest operation (OTT) in Ponorogo.

The four are Ponorogo Regent Sugiri Sancoko (SUG), Director of RSUD dr. Harjono Ponorogo Yunus Mahatma (YUM), Ponorogo Regional Secretary Agus Pramono (AGP), and Sucipto (SC), a private party or contractor of RSUD Ponorogo.

In the cluster of alleged bribery for job processing, the recipients of bribes were Sugiri Sancoko together with Agus Pramono. Meanwhile the bribe givers were Yunus Mahatma.

For the cluster of alleged bribery in the RSUD Ponorogo project, the recipients were Sugiri Sancoko together with Yunus Mahatma. Meanwhile the bribe giver was Sucipto.

And in the cluster of alleged gratification within the Ponorogo Regency government, the recipient of bribes was Sugiri Sancoko. Meanwhile the giver was Yunus Mahatma.
