The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has announced an anti-corruption campaign through a musical drama titled ‘Sidik’, part of the lead-up to World Anti-Corruption Day (Hakordia) commemorated every 9 December. “This performance will be staged on 4, 5, and 6 December, just days before World Anti-Corruption Day. We are holding it at the Grand Theatre of Taman Ismail Marzuki, Jakarta,” said Amir Arief, KPK Director of Anti-Corruption Socialisation and Campaign, at the KPK’s Merah Putih Building in Jakarta on Thursday. Amir further stated that the KPK will hold six performance sessions over three days, comprising two sessions for KPK invited guests on 4 December 2026, and four sessions for the general public on the remaining two days. “The invited guests are our partners, including anti-corruption activists, anti-corruption education activists, anti-corruption extension workers, our long-standing partners in education and corruption prevention, as well as stakeholders who greatly need inspiration from us,” he said. According to him, the appointment of Da Lopez Entertainment followed a lawful direct appointment procurement mechanism in accordance with Regulation of the National Public Procurement Agency (LKPP) Number 5 of 2021. “Why did the KPK choose Da Lopez Entertainment as a collaboration partner? Because Da Lopez Entertainment has a strong portfolio in producing similar musical dramas with themes of nationalism, politics, and issues concerning legal approaches as well as how our country operates,” he stated. Furthermore, he said Da Lopez Entertainment can help the KPK expand the anti-corruption campaign performances by adding paid sessions for the general public. “Why is this important? So that there are more seats, more audience members. How is it financed? That falls under Da Lopez Entertainment’s commercial scheme, outside of KPK funding,” he explained. On the same occasion, Andovi explained that the main premise of ‘Sidik’ is inseparable from the lives of KPK investigators and the alleged corruption cases the anti-graft agency has handled. “My brother Jo, our team, and I wrote Sidik, and a certain corruption case in Indonesia, which I am not allowed to spoil,” he said. Regarding paid performance tickets, he explained that the public can follow their Instagram social media account for further information.
