KPK and Jakarta Government Inaugurate Setiabudi Integritas Bus Stop

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), together with the Jakarta Special Capital Region Provincial Government and PT Transjakarta, inaugurated the naming of the Setiabudi Integritas bus stop on Sunday. The naming of the Setiabudi Integritas bus stop is a collaboration between the KPK, the Jakarta Provincial Government, and PT Transjakarta to expand the campaign for integrity values in public spaces. The inauguration was held simultaneously with the opening of the HR Rasuna Said road area as part of the 499th Jakarta Anniversary celebrations. Attendees included Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung, KPK Chairman Setyo Budiyanto, Jakarta DPRD Chairman Suhud Alynudin, former DKI Jakarta Governor Sutiyoso, and officials from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, the KPK, and PT Transjakarta. KPK Chairman Setyo Budiyanto stated that the naming of Setiabudi Integritas is not merely a ceremony, a place for passengers to get on and off, or a location people pass through daily. ‘But at the very least, my hope is that a name that shows identity can become a collective memory. People will remember, they will safeguard, and they will do positive things in accordance with its name,’ Setyo said. He mentioned that the idea for the naming arose from his habit of using public transport such as the KRL, Transjakarta, LRT, and MRT. From there, he asked the KPK’s Deputy for Education and Public Participation to coordinate with the Jakarta Provincial Government. The proposal was then well received by Governor Pramono Anung. ‘We cannot say what’s in a name, because a name contains extraordinary meaning,’ Setyo said. Meanwhile, Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung said that the construction of the bus stop did not use state budget funds, but rather came from advertising revenue. According to him, this step shows that Jakarta’s development does not solely depend on the regional budget. ‘Hopefully this naming adds to the spirit, because today Jakarta has three main momentums,’ Pramono said. The three momentums are the inauguration of the HR Rasuna Said area, a waste sorting activity at Monas, and the groundbreaking for a pedestrian deck in Dukuh Atas that will connect five modes of transport and is targeted for completion next year. ‘We report to the KPK Chairman and request supervision, because this pedestrian deck is entirely not using the regional budget. So, Jakarta is now using a financing scheme that provides space to build public trust in Jakarta’s development,’ Pramono said. Comedian Cak Lontong, who also attended the inauguration, responded positively to the naming of Setiabudi Integritas. He said the name carries a hope for Jakarta residents to always remember and uphold integrity. ‘A name carries hope. So, we give it the name Integritas, with the hope that it always reminds everyone to maintain integrity. Moreover, this area is right in front of the KPK building. So, integrity is paramount, and it doesn’t just stop at the formality of naming, but is about our commitment,’ Cak Lontong said.
