KPK Also Arrests Deputy Regent of Rejang Lebong Alongside Regent
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) arrested 13 individuals in a dawn operation against Rejang Lebong Regent Muhammad Fikri Thobari. In addition to the regent, the KPK also apprehended Deputy Regent Hendri Praja.
KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo stated that a total of 13 people were secured in the operation, with nine transferred to KPK headquarters in Jakarta.
“Of the nine people brought to Jakarta this morning, one is the regent, the deputy regent, and three other civil servants from Rejang Lebong regional administration. The remaining four are private citizens,” Budi said at KPK headquarters in South Jakarta on Tuesday (10 March 2026).
Budi stated that the KPK team arrested them in the Rejang Lebong area overnight. They were initially questioned at the local police station.
“These individuals were arrested last night. In the course of this operation, the team made arrests in the Rejang Lebong area and also in Bengkulu, with questioning conducted at two locations: the Kepahiang Police Office and Bengkulu City Police Office,” he explained.
The arrested individuals remain under investigation status. The KPK has 1x24 hours to determine their official status.
