KPK Allows Suspects in BPK Bribery Case to Apply for Justice Collaborator Status

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has given permission for suspects in the alleged bribery case involving a member of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) and Muara Enim Regent, Edison, to apply for justice collaborator (JC) status. The KPK stated that this is a right provided by law. “The right to apply for JC is indeed a right granted by statutory provisions. So please, it can be used by the suspects,” said Acting Director of Investigation at the KPK, Achmad Taufik Husein, to reporters at the KPK’s Merah Putih Building in Kuningan, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (22/7/2026). Taufik explained that the KPK respects every legal step taken by the suspects. However, he reminded that there are conditions that must be met in the JC application. “Of course, we respect it because it is a right, please use it,” Taufik clarified. As previously reported, on Wednesday (10/6), the KPK conducted a sting operation (OTT) against five BPK civil servants. The KPK stated that this operation was still related to the alleged bribery in the Muara Enim Regency Administration. The KPK suspects that the Muara Enim Regent gave bribes to BPK officials regarding findings in a smart board procurement. The KPK subsequently named five suspects in the alleged bribery case from Edison to the BPK officials. The KPK revealed that the BPK officials requested Rp 1.6 billion to alter the audit results. The five suspects in this second case involving Edison are: 1. Angga, a private party; 2. Titin Rita Lestari, a civil servant and Technical Controller; 3. Edison, the Regent of Muara Enim; 4. Cory Erin Hardi, a marketing representative of PT Millenium Solusi Abadi; and 5. Fika, a Director of PT Millenium Solusi Abadi. In the latest development, the KPK has searched the house of Bobby Adhityo Rizaldi, a member of the BPK’s Fifth Division. Investigators secured a number of pieces of evidence from the search.
