The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has invited the suspects in the case of alleged bribery of Audit Board (BPK) members by Muara Enim Regent Edison to apply for justice collaborator (JC) status, saying this is a right provided for under the law.

“The right to apply for JC status is indeed a right granted by legislation. So the suspects are welcome to use it,” said Acting Director of KPK Investigation Achmad Taufik Husein to reporters at the KPK’s Red-and-White Building in Kuningan, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (22/7/2026).

Taufik explained that the KPK certainly respects every legal step taken by the suspects. However, he reminded that there remain requirements that must be met in submitting a JC application.

“We certainly respect it because it is a right, so please use it,” Taufik said.

As background, on Wednesday (10/6), the KPK carried out a sting operation (OTT) against five BPK civil servants. The KPK stated the operation was still connected to the alleged bribery at the Muara Enim Regency Government.

The KPK suspects that the Muara Enim Regent gave bribes to BPK officials in connection with findings in a smart board procurement.

The KPK subsequently named five people as suspects in the alleged bribery from Edison’s side to the BPK. The KPK revealed that the BPK side demanded Rp 1.6 billion to alter the audit results.

The five suspects in the second Edison case are:

  1. Angga, representing the private party

  2. Titin Rita Lestari, a civil servant serving as Technical Controller

  3. Edison, as Muara Enim Regent

  4. Cory Erin Hardi, marketing officer of PT Millenium Solusi Abadi

  5. Fika, as a director of PT Millenium Solusi Abadi

Most recently, the KPK searched the home of BPK Member V Bobby Adhityo Rizaldi (BB). Investigators secured a number of pieces of evidence from the search.
