KPEI CEO Iding Pardi Declares Intention to Run for BEI CEO Ahead of June RUPSLB

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The CEO of PT Kliring Penjaminan Efek Indonesia (KPEI), Iding Pardi, has declared his readiness to run as a candidate for the CEO (Dirut) of PT Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) for the 2026-2030 period. The appointment of BEI’s new board of directors will be decided at an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPSLB) in June 2026. “Insya Allah, we are in the preparation stage,” Iding stated when confirmed by ANTARA in Jakarta on Thursday. On this occasion, Iding confirmed the six other names in his slate/package for BEI directors, as received by ANTARA. “Yes, that’s correct,” Iding said when asked about the composition of the proposed BEI directorate package. For information, the selection of BEI director candidates is conducted through a package system, where Exchange Members (AB) propose a complete team consisting of the CEO and several functional directors. The following is the composition of the proposed BEI directorate package, confirmed by KPEI CEO Iding Pardi: - KPEI CEO - Iding Pardi - Director of PT Elit Sukses Sekuritas - Zaki Mubarak - Head of BEI Transaction Supervision Division - Yulianto Aji Sadono - KPEI Director - Umi Kulsum - Former CEO of Bumiputera Sekuritas - Ahmad Subagja - Director of Pefindo Credit Bureau - Yohannes Liauw - Director of PT UBS Sekuritas Indonesia - Andre Tjahjamuljo On the other hand, Iding stated that his side has not yet submitted the proposed BEI directorate package to the Financial Services Authority (OJK), the authority responsible for conducting the selection process. “The process has not started,” Iding said. Previously, the Executive Head of Capital Market, Derivative Finance, and Carbon Exchange Supervision (PMDK) at OJK, Hasan Fawzi, stated that his office has not received any BEI directorate candidate packages to date. The deadline for submitting BEI directorate candidate packages is set for 4 May 2026 in accordance with prevailing regulations. “Not yet, absolutely nothing has come to OJK (regarding BEI directorate candidate packages). But please go ahead, meaning they might have already started. It’s time to form candidate packages and so on; we allow it according to market mechanisms,” Hasan said.
