KP2MI Sanctions Against PT Bahtera Tullus Karya Valid for Only 3 Months
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Director General of Protection at the Indonesian Migrant Worker Protection Agency (KP2MI), Rinardi, stated that the sanctions imposed by his agency on PT Bahtera Tullus Karya regarding the placement of prospective Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) will only be in effect for three months.
“This is the initial process (administrative sanctions in the form of a temporary suspension). It is only the imposition of administrative sanctions. So, how long will these administrative sanctions be in effect? These administrative sanctions will be in effect for three months,” said Rinardi, when met at his office, Thursday (February 26, 2026).
The administrative sanctions against PT Bahtera Tullus Karya were signed on February 24, 2026.
Therefore, before May 24, 2026, the company is obliged to fulfil several requests from KP2MI.
In the process of imposing administrative sanctions in the form of a temporary suspension, PT Bahtera Tullus Karya is obliged to fulfil a number of obligations.
The company must submit a list of Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) who have been placed in the Middle East in the last two years, along with a list of its business partners in the region.
PT Bahtera Tullus Karya must also improve and complete the company’s facilities and infrastructure to meet the standards of feasibility and compliance in accordance with the provisions on the placement and protection of PMI.
