Kowani Chair Applauds Women Uniting to Uphold Organisation's Dignity
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesian Women’s Congress (Kowani) Chair Nannie Hadi Tjahjanto has expressed appreciation for the deep concern shown by prominent women, member organisations, legal experts, and various Kowani elements who have united to contribute their thoughts, energy, and concrete actions to safeguard the organisation’s dignity.
Amidst the various dynamics we are currently facing, I have actually witnessed something very heartening, namely that more and more great women are rising, caring, and feeling called to jointly protect, defend, and save Kowani, Nannie Hadi Tjahjanto said in a statement in Jakarta on Thursday.
According to her, every thought shared represents positive energy, demonstrating that Kowani still possesses great strength in the form of unity and concern from Indonesian women.
Nannie Hadi Tjahjanto stressed that what is being fought for is not personal interests or anyone’s position, but rather the honour of the organisation, the mandate of the 26th Congress, the organisational constitution, the sovereignty of member organisations, and the historical legacy of the Indonesian women’s struggle that has been built since 1928.
What we are fighting for is not personal interests and not the interests of a particular group. What we are fighting for is the honour of Kowani, the mandate of the 26th Congress, the organisational constitution, and the future of the home of Indonesian women’s organisations, she said.
She called on all elements of Kowani to continue strengthening synergy, maintaining good communication, and prioritising the resolution of various issues through organisational mechanisms and constitutional legal channels.
Unite to safeguard dignity. Together uphold the constitution. Synergise to build the civilisation of Indonesian women towards Kowani’s centenary. We protect its history, we strengthen its unity, and we bequeath its honour to the future generations of Indonesian women, Nannie Hadi Tjahjanto said.
