Kota Baru project
Kota Baru project
From Bisnis Indonesia
The House of Representatives (DPR) has reportedly summoned the eldest son of President Megawati Soekarnoputri for questioning. The questioning is over an agreement he reached with businessmen from China for the development of 312,983 m2 of land in Kota Baru, Kemayoran, Jakarta.
As the land belongs to the State Secretariat, according to the report, the House must give this matter proper attention. But why is the case, still in its early days, being questioned? If the agreement was transparent and profitable to the state, what's wrong?
The respectable members of the House should first investigate to what extent, if any, the case involved corruption, collusion and nepotism, as well as the possible abuse of the presidential office and facilities.
