Kostrad Unveils New Uniform, Here Is Its Look
The Indonesian Army Strategic Reserve Command (Kostrad) has unveiled a new uniform. Here is how Kostrad soldiers look in their new attire.
According to ANTARA, the new uniform was unveiled at Kostrad’s 65th anniversary celebrations held at the Kostrad Division 1 Headquarters, Cilodong, Depok, West Java, on Friday, 6 March 2026.
Based on an official Kostrad Information Bureau press release, the laurel-leaf green colour was chosen to convey a sense of Kostrad’s toughness.
‘Prajurit Kostrad juga mengenakan PDL Kostrad terbaru dengan corak daun laurel, yang melambangkan kehormatan, ketangguhan, kemenangan, dan prestasi. Hal tersebut menjadi simbol semangat baru dalam meningkatkan profesionalisme prajurit serta memperkuat sinergi dengan seluruh komponen bangsa demi mendukung pembangunan nasional,’ seperti dikutip siaran pers tersebut.
In the 65th anniversary ceremony, the Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (Panglima TNI), General Agus Subiyanto, attended as ceremony patron, leading 1,500 troops on the parade ground.
The ceremony was also attended by several officials, including the Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Army (TNI AD), the Air Force Commander (AU), the Commander of the Special Forces Command, the Commander of the Marine Corps, and the Commander of Korps Pasukan Gabungan (Korpasgat).
After the ceremony, the event continued with the troops’ martial arts demonstrations. Kostrad showcased soldiers’ abilities in military silat, hand-to-hand combat using toya, and debus performances.
Not only that, Kostrad also demonstrated the martial arts abilities of female soldiers through a one-on-five simulated fight.
The proceedings continued with a defile by Kostrad troops from five Battalion-level units (STY) totalling 1,500 personnel.
The anniversary celebrations concluded with an iftar meal with officials and 400 orphans.
