Koster's Response Regarding Investor Suing Bali Provincial Government over Kelingking Glass Elevator

Bali Governor Wayan Koster has permitted PT Indonesia Kaishi Tourism Property Investment Development Group (PT Bina Nusa Property) to sue the Bali Provincial Government (Pemprov Bali) regarding the glass elevator project at Kelingking Beach, Nusa Penida, Klungkung.

“Go ahead and sue. That is their right to proceed through legal channels,” said Koster to detikBali on Thursday (16/4/2026).

Previously, PT Indonesia Kaishi Tourism Property Investment Development Group had sued the Bali Governor’s Decree related to the halt of the glass elevator project at Kelingking Beach, Nusa Penida, Klungkung. This was revealed by the Head of the Bali Provincial Secretariat’s Legal Bureau, Ngurah Satria.

Satria explained that the developer had withdrawn the previous lawsuit due to incomplete administration.

“Regarding the withdrawal, we don’t look at the timing; the point is it was withdrawn. But there is a new lawsuit now. They have already filed the new one. So after the withdrawal, because the first lawsuit’s legal standing was due to a dismissal process,” said Satria on Wednesday (15/4).
