Koster Urges PDIP Faction in Tabanan DPRD Not to Be Authoritarian

PDIP Bali Chairman Wayan Koster advised the PDIP faction in Tabanan DPRD not to adopt an authoritarian stance. This exhortation was given considering the significant dominance of seats held by PDIP in Tabanan DPRD. Out of a total of 40 seats available in Tabanan DPRD, the PDIP faction controls 31 seats, or approximately 77.5 percent. “I know that PDIP in Tabanan has no opponents. Out of 41 seats, 31 are held by PDIP cadres. As the majority, I advise you not to be authoritarian and act arbitrarily in the DPRD,” stressed Wayan Koster on Tuesday (24/3/2026). Koster urged the cadres to continue engaging and consulting with other factions. According to him, this is important because the primary goal of the DPRD’s work is for the people’s interests. “So far, Tabanan DPRD has been good, especially our faction members,” said Koster. In addition, Koster hopes that the PDIP in Tabanan remains loved by the public. However, this must be balanced with improvements in cadre quality. “This party must level up. Previously, the focus was on quantity, but now, in addition to quantity, it must be supported by quality,” he asserted. During the event, Wayan Koster also inaugurated 5,079 cadres from branch levels, sub-districts, up to district level for the 2025-2030 term.
