Issues surrounding waste management and the waste-to-electricity energy project (PSEL) were topics of discussion during a casual meeting between Bali Governor Wayan Koster and Gerindra Bali Chairman Made Muliawan Arya, alias De Gadjah, on Sunday (19/4). The meeting took place informally over a meal together. “It was just a casual chat while eating. A routine informal agenda, as it has been for a long time,” Koster said when confirmed by detikBali on Monday (20/4/2026). De Gadjah stated that the meeting also involved lunch and coffee together while addressing several issues in Bali. “Essentially, we had a casual conversation and discussion for Bali; we talked and discussed a lot about waste, and about the PSEL which will soon have an MoU. We also discussed the people’s school that is already running,” De Gadjah explained. In addition to discussing strategic issues, Koster also requested several inputs from De Gadjah during the meeting. “That means I appreciate that he, as a governor of that calibre, has mature politics but still seeks input from everyone,” he added. According to De Gadjah, Koster also supports President Prabowo Subianto’s programmes such as the Red White Cooperative, people’s school, and others. “And essentially, as representatives of the people, we want the best for Bali; essentially, it’s all for Bali. Whatever it is, it’s for Bali,” De Gadjah emphasised. The meeting was also attended by Balinese businessman Made Bayu Adisastra.
