Wayan Koster, Chairman of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) Provincial Board in Bali, has affirmed the party’s readiness to face the 2029 general election. This statement was made during the inauguration of officials from the sub-district management boards (PAC), branches (ranting), and sub-branches (anak ranting) of PDIP in Buleleng district on Sunday, 15 March 2026.

According to Koster, this readiness is evident from the strength of the party structure that has already been established down to the lowest levels, extending even to neighbourhood associations (banjar) and villages throughout Bali.

“With such organisational readiness and cadres like this, I believe the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle is the party most prepared to face 2029,” Koster said.

He emphasised that all newly appointed officials must work with discipline and comply with all organisational rules, including the party’s statutes and by-laws (AD/ART), party policies, and other party regulations.

“I have already directed all officials, from district to sub-district level, branches, and sub-branches, particularly those inaugurated today, to become cadres capable of working with discipline and adhering to the party’s statutes and by-laws, party policies, and all party regulations,” said the two-term Bali Governor.

Beyond strengthening internal party organisation, Koster also called upon PDIP cadres to actively engage with communities. He stressed that cadres must serve as advocates for people’s aspirations whilst driving regional development.

“Cadres must always remain in the midst of communities, championing the interests and aspirations of the people, and serving as a driving force in advancing regional development agendas, including efforts to achieve public health and welfare,” he said.

Koster explained that the inauguration of officials is being conducted in stages across various regions in Bali. Earlier events of this nature were held in Denpasar and Badung on 13 March.

In Buleleng, the newly inaugurated structure encompassed approximately 4,592 officials, ranging from district to sub-district level, branches, and sub-branches.
