Koster Affirms Support for President Prabowo's National Strategic Programmes in Bali

Bali Governor Wayan Koster has affirmed that the Bali Provincial Government fully supports the policies and National Strategic Programmes of President Prabowo Subianto on the Island of the Gods. “The Bali Provincial Government has taken concrete steps in supporting various National Strategic Programmes,” Koster said in an official statement on Sunday (5/7/2026). Koster detailed several measures taken to support the national programmes, such as providing 7.1 hectares of land for the construction of Nutritional Fulfilment Service Unit facilities for the Free Nutritious Meals Programme. The land is spread across all regencies and cities in Bali. “It was submitted to the Head of the National Nutrition Agency on 20 May 2025,” the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle politician added. Furthermore, Koster has also provided more than 2 hectares of land for the construction of Merah Putih Village/Sub-district Cooperative facilities across the regencies and cities. Thirdly, he continued, providing 5.67 hectares of land for the construction of a Sekolah Rakyat in Tulamben Village, Karangasem. “Construction is almost complete and preparations have been made for new student admissions,” Koster revealed. Koster stressed that he had early on instructed the Bali Regional Secretary, Dewa Made Indra, to coordinate the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meals programme, the Merah Putih Village Cooperatives, and the Sekolah Rakyat with the central government and regency/city administrations to ensure they run well in Bali. “This affirmation is conveyed to straighten out reports on social media so that the Balinese people obtain a correct understanding regarding the commitment to supporting national priority programmes,” Koster explained. Koster invited all elements of society to prioritise accurate, objective, and responsible information, especially on social media. He expressed hope that the public would not be influenced by misleading news.
