Kosgoro 1957 Candidate Chairman La Ode to Report to Golkar Chairman Bahlil Lahadalia Amid Overwhelming Support

Jakarta, VIVA – The race for the Chairman of Kosgoro 1957’s Central Leadership (PPK) ahead of the Fifth General Assembly (Mubes) is intensifying. With the start of registration form collection, La Ode Safiul Akbar’s campaign team, led by Zainuddin, has secured strong political backing, including endorsements from senior Golkar Party figures. Zainuddin, Chairman of La Ode Safiul Akbar’s campaign team, stated that senior politician and Golkar Party Advisory Council member Agung Laksono has clearly signaled his support for La Ode. ‘With Agung Laksono’s direct expression of support for La Ode Safiul Akbar, we are confident that senior Golkar officials stand united behind La Ode’s vision and mission to lead Kosgoro 1957,’ Zainuddin said at Kosgoro’s headquarters in South Jakarta on Saturday, 30 May 2026. He also outlined the campaign team’s immediate strategic agenda. La Ode Safiul Akbar is scheduled to meet with Golkar Party Chairman Bahlil Lahadalia in the near future. This meeting is widely seen as crucial to align Kosgoro 1957’s direction, given its role as one of Golkar’s founding organisations. ‘The Kosgoro Candidate Chairman will report directly to Golkar Chairman Bahlil Lahadalia due to overwhelming support from regional leadership (PDK),’ he explained. Zainuddin stressed that under La Ode Safiul Akbar’s leadership, the organisation’s development will focus on strengthening regional areas and people’s economy. A key initiative includes revitalising cooperative networks across all regions. Economic Empowerment: Building and revitalising cooperatives in every region to improve the welfare of members and local communities. Grassroots Consolidation: La Ode has pledged to visit regional leadership (PDK) across Indonesia to meet them directly. ‘After being elected, Bang La Ode will not stay in Jakarta. He will visit every region from Aceh to Papua, meet the PDK, and ensure welfare programmes like cooperatives are implemented nationwide,’ he emphasised. Meanwhile, Kosgoro 1957 Vice Chairman and Campaign Team Deputy Chair Yan Pieter Pangaribuan added that La Ode Safiul Akbar is the right choice for the organisation’s future during the 2026–2031 term. According to Yan Pieter, La Ode’s key strength lies in his down-to-earth character and respect for seniors and regional cadres. ‘With La Ode’s humility, we are confident that Kosgoro 1957’s PDK across Indonesia will fully and solidly support him to lead the organisation for the 2026–2031 term,’ Yan Pieter concluded.
