Kortas Tipikor to Submit Response to Febrie Adriansyah's Pretrial Motion Tomorrow
Polda Metro Jaya and the National Police’s Corruption Eradication Corps (Kortas Tipikor) will provide their response to the pretrial motion filed by former Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) Febrie Adriansyah tomorrow. The Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) will also present its response on the same day.
The first hearing, with the agenda of reading the motion, was held at the South Jakarta District Court on Tuesday (18/8/2026). After the motion was read, Single Judge Richard Edwin Basoeki questioned the readiness of the respondents to provide their answers.
“The next agenda is the response from Respondent I, Respondent II, and the co-respondent. Are you ready today?” asked Judge Richard.
Responding to the judge’s question, Brigadier General Veris Septiansyah, Head of the Legal Bureau of the Police’s Legal Division, representing Polda Metro Jaya and Kortas Tipikor, requested time to deliver the response tomorrow.
“With the court’s permission, Your Honour, the reading of the responses of Respondent I and Respondent II will be delivered tomorrow,” said Brigadier General Veris.
In line with the police, the Attorney General’s Office, which is a co-respondent, stated the same.
“The same, Sir (tomorrow),” replied the Attorney General’s Office representative.
Judge Richard then adjourned the hearing and continued it on Wednesday (19/8) tomorrow. He requested the parties to prepare the documents in both physical and digital form. The judge also reminded all parties to attend on time.
“Today’s hearing is declared concluded and will be reopened on Wednesday, tomorrow, 19 August. The parties, both the petitioner, respondents, and co-respondent, shall remain present,” the judge added while striking the gavel.
For information, in his motion, Febrie Adriansyah requested the pretrial judge to annul the suspect designation letter against him. He also challenged the legality of the seizure and search conducted by the police.
Febrie specifically questioned the search conducted at his residence in the Sentul area on Wednesday (8/7) evening until Thursday (9/7) early morning. He considered that the legal process carried out by the police did not comply with applicable procedures.
In this case, Febrie Adriansyah acts as the Petitioner. Respondent I is Polda Metro Jaya, Respondent II is Kortas Tipikor Polri, and the Attorney General’s Office is the co-respondent.
