The Indonesian Air Force’s Quick Reaction Force Command (Korpasgat) has conducted a night shooting exercise to sharpen the combat capabilities of its troops in all conditions. The exercise was carried out by personnel from the 2nd Air Defence Artillery Regiment (Arhanud 2) Pasgat and the 23rd Air Defence Artillery Battalion (Arhanud 23) Pasgat at the Atmaji Shooting Range, Sultan Hasanuddin Air Force Base in Makassar, South Sulawesi, on Wednesday evening. In a press release received in Jakarta on Saturday, Korpasgat Public Relations explained that the exercise was led by the Commander of the 2nd Air Defence Artillery Regiment, Colonel Pas Dadang Hermawan. “The activity was attended by all combined marksmen from the 2nd Air Defence Artillery Regiment Pasgat and the 23rd Air Defence Artillery Battalion Pasgat,” the Korpasgat press release stated. The shooting exercise commenced at 19:40 and concluded at 21:20 Central Indonesian Time, followed by an evaluation and a joint weapons clearing procedure. “The activity proceeded smoothly and safely because all personnel adhered to the applicable safety standards,” the press release noted. Through this exercise, Korpasgat hopes all troops will possess proficient shooting skills, making them ready to be deployed in both defensive and offensive missions.
