Korpasgat conducts joint combat training with US special forces
The Indonesian Air Force’s Rapid Deployment Force Command (Korpasgat) has conducted joint combat training with United States special forces, specifically the United States Air Force Special Operations Command (US AFSOC), to sharpen the combat capabilities of its personnel.
According to an official press release from Korpasgat issued on Monday, the series of joint exercises was held at the Korpasgat training area in Balegede, Bandung Regency, West Java, on Sunday (7/6).
“The training held by Korpaslag and AFSOC was titled Direct Action Ground Reconnaissance (DAGR) 2026, which concluded yesterday,” said the Head of Korpasgat Information, Colonel (Pas) Jaito Novyan Sulistiyono, when confirmed by ANTARA in Jakarta on Monday.
The entire scenario was executed in accordance with special operating procedures that demand high levels of speed, precision, and coordination.
“This activity serves as an effective means to increase interoperability and align tactics, techniques, and procedures to support the execution of future joint operations,” Jaito explained.
He also confirmed that no personnel or main weapon systems (alutsista) were casualties of any operational failures. Through this joint training, he expressed hope that the capabilities of the Korpasgat troops would become increasingly sharp, ensuring they are more prepared for deployment in military operations across all terrains.
