Korpasgat Completes Anti-Terror Training at Airports

The Indonesian Air Force’s Quick Reaction Force Command (Korpasgat) has completed an anti-terror training programme in an airport environment to enhance personnel capabilities in facing threats of terrorism and aircraft hijacking. Head of the Air Force Information Service, Air Commodore I Nyoman Suadnyana, stated in an official release received in Jakarta on Monday that the training was conducted in cooperation with UK-based defence training provider, Sovereign Tactical Training. The training took place from 29 June to 24 July 2026 at the 800th Education Wing of Korpasgat in Bandung, West Java. According to I Nyoman, participants received both theoretical and practical instruction on securing airport areas, covering prevention, handling, and response to crisis situations within the aviation environment. In addition to classroom instruction, Korpasgat personnel also underwent various simulations to improve their readiness in facing terrorism and hijacking threats. However, the Air Force did not detail the specific simulation materials provided. I Nyoman stated that the entire training series was conducted safely and smoothly in accordance with applicable security standards. He expressed hope that the capabilities of Korpasgat personnel would be enhanced, enabling them to carry out anti-terror missions in airport areas professionally and adaptively.
