Korn/Ferry opens local office

JAKARTA (JP): Korn/Ferry International, the executive search group, plans to officially open its Jakarta office on Feb. 20.

The Jakarta office, which has been operating since December, will work closely with Korn/Ferry's offices in Hong Kong and Singapore. These offices opened in 1988.

Mohammed Ali, a managing partner of the Jakarta office, said Indonesia's strong economic growth was reflected by local and multinational companies increased demand for senior executives.

The group plans to service the country's finance, banking, fast-moving consumer goods, communications, utilities and other industries.

Korn/Ferry International has 10 other offices in the Asia- Pacific region and claims to have developed extensive understanding of the issues driving business in Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand. (09)
