Korlantas Strengthens Seven Performance Indicators Ahead of Bhayangkara Day

The National Police’s Traffic Corps (Korlantas) is committed to strengthening seven key performance indicators (IKU) within its 2025-2029 Strategic Plan to improve performance quality in the momentum of the 80th Bhayangkara Day. Director of Law Enforcement for Korlantas Polri, Commissioner I Made Agus Prasatya, stated that all programmes and activities run by Korlantas must have clear indicators and be accountable periodically according to set timeframes. “Regarding the Korlantas Polri 2025-2029 strategic plan, there is accountability that must be answered periodically, whether every three months, every six months, or every year,” he said while leading a morning assembly at the NTMC Polri Building, Jakarta, Monday, as quoted from an official statement. He mentioned that the key performance indicator of primary concern is the Road Safety Index (RSI). According to him, this indicator is the spirit of Korlantas Polri’s duty in realising traffic safety. “This Road Safety Index is a measurable value regarding safety; there is a formula for it,” he said. He stated that RSI measurements are conducted periodically every quarter as a basis for formulating pre-emptive and preventive measures in the field of traffic security and safety. “Every three months, the Road Safety Index for 2025 is measured. Then what it looks like in Q1, Q2, Q3,” he said. Furthermore, the second key performance indicator is the public satisfaction index regarding public services. This is the focus of the Registration and Identification function of Korlantas Polri. Next is the achievement of non-tax state revenue. According to him, this is one of the important indicators that must be evaluated periodically. “Because colleagues are producers of non-tax state revenue, the achievements, obstacles, and challenges must be calculated,” Agus said. Then, for indicators in the field of security and safety, the RSI must be used as a basis for formulating education strategies and campaigns for a traffic safety culture. The next indicator is the public response to the various educational programmes that have been implemented. “If there is no feedback from the public, it means the programme we glorified is not good,” he said. Lastly, the sixth and seventh indicators relate to the law enforcement function, particularly in increasing the utilisation of Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement and the resolution of traffic accident cases. Thus, Agus said, overall, there are seven key performance indicators that must be fulfilled and reported periodically by all ranks of Korlantas Polri. The National Police will commemorate the 80th Bhayangkara Day on 1 July 2026.
