Korlantas Polri Prepares One-Way Stage 3 from KM 390 to KM 70 on Trans Java Toll Road
The Head of the Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps (Kakorlantas) Polri, Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, stated that the local one-way stage 3 from KM 390 in the Kendal area is being prepared. Currently, local one-way stage 2 is in effect from KM 263 to KM 70 on the Cikampek toll road. “So tonight it will be somewhat smoother, and today, following coordination with stakeholders, we will try to implement the precise local One-Way stage 3 before proceeding to the national one-way for the second return flow stage,” said Irjen Agus at the command centre at KM 29 of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, North Cikarang, on Friday (27/3/2026). So far, the implemented one-way scheme has been able to accommodate the return flow of vehicles. However, if the vehicle volume continues to increase, there is potential to implement national one-way stage 2 for the return flow from KM 414 Kalikangkung. “This is still capable of managing the flow of the return traffic from the east, whether from East Java, Central Java, Greater Solo, Yogyakarta; we will implement that. However, when there is a surge in traffic later, we will seek instructions from the Chief of Police on whether we should open national one-way stage 2 for the return flow,” he said. “We will consider that later. Because we will also consider residents heading east. All of this is important, but we will take priorities,” he added. Irjen Agus explained that around 22 percent of vehicles have not yet returned to Jakarta. It is predicted that there will be a traffic surge this afternoon. “From traffic counting calculations, up to now, it’s approximately around 22%. So it’s possible that this afternoon there will be a traffic surge, including possibly tomorrow,” he stated.
