Korlantas Polri Prepares Measures to Anticipate Local Homecoming Traffic Density
Bekasi Regency, West Java (ANTARA) - The Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps (Korlantas Polri) has prepared measures to anticipate the density of local homecomers in agglomeration areas.
Head of Korlantas Polri, Inspector General of Police Agus Suryonugroho, stated that the peak density of local homecomers is predicted to occur on Sunday (22/3) or H+1 of Eid al-Fitr 2026.
“Actually, tomorrow will be dense in those agglomerations. So, local homecoming from Solo to Semarang, Semarang to Solo, from Bogor to Bekasi, we are anticipating that tomorrow,” he said at the KM 29 Cikampek Toll Command Center Post, Bekasi Regency, West Java, on Saturday.
He mentioned that the police have anticipated local homecomers in the Solo Raya, Semarang Raya, Malang Raya areas, including Jabodetabek and Bali, one of which is by preparing security posts, service posts, and integrated posts.
He also hopes that all personnel will remain on standby to monitor the traffic flow situation in those areas.
“We hope all personnel remain on standby to monitor the journey, both local homecoming and homecoming from Jakarta to Central Java, East Java, while they are there for silaturahmi,” he said.
Meanwhile, Polri and related stakeholders have also prepared to face the peak of the Eid return flow. It is predicted to occur on 24-25 March 2026, with the second wave on 28-29 March 2026.
