Korlantas Polri implements local "one way" from KM 132 to KM 70
Bekasi Regency, West Java (ANTARA) - The Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps (Korlantas Polri) is implementing the first stage of local one-way traffic engineering for the Eid return flow from KM 132 to KM 70 on the Trans-Java Toll Road this Friday.
“This morning at 07:30 WIB, we have conducted socialisation and direct clearance to welcome the returning travellers, who are expected to increase in number this morning, so we are implementing the first stage of one-way from KM 132 to KM 70. This is the first stage,” said the Head of Korlantas Polri, Inspector General of Police Agus Suryonugroho, at the Korlantas Polri Command Centre Post at KM 29 of the Cikampek Toll Road, Bekasi Regency, West Java, on Friday.
After the implementation of this one-way system, he said that Korlantas Polri would continue to monitor the situation on the ground.
If there is an increase in traffic flow in the afternoon, he continued, Korlantas Polri would implement the second stage of local one-way from KM 169 to KM 70.
Furthermore, if the traffic flow still increases, the local one-way would be opened again from KM 188 to KM 70.
“So, there are three stages. The first from KM 132 to 70, the second from KM 169 to 70, and the third from KM 188 to 70,” he stated.
Nevertheless, if there is another increase in traffic, he opened the possibility of implementing a sectional one-way from KM 263 to KM 70 as well as a national one-way from KM 414 to KM 70.
“Likewise, if the situational indicator from the Kalikangkung Toll Gate reaches nearly 4,000 vehicles, it is possible that we will also open the national one-way today,” he said.
Furthermore, Agus stated that the fatality rate of accident victims during this year’s mudik and return flows has decreased by 30.4 percent compared to last year.
“For accident fatalities—meaning deaths from accidents—there is a 30.4 percent decrease. The number of accidents during Operation Ketupat has decreased by 5.3 percent,” he said.
