REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – In anticipation of the 2026 Eid al-Fitr homecoming rush, Korlantas Polri has launched the national tagline “Safe Homecoming, Happy Family” as a collective spirit to create a safe, orderly, and meaningful journey.

This tagline is not only an operational slogan for traffic management but also a moral movement to build a culture of discipline on the roads.

This is a follow-up to the policy of the Head of Korlantas Polri, Inspector General of Police Agus Suryonugroho, and the direction from the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, that all levels of the Polri provide maximum service to the community and ensure that the implementation of homecoming security runs optimally, humanely, and professionally. The tagline is planned to be launched on March 3, 2026.

In line with this spirit, the Director of Registration and Identification of Korlantas Polri, Brigadier General of Police Wibowo, through the “Polantas Menyapa” program, invites young people, especially Gen-Z, to be pioneers in the campaign for compliant vehicle administration.

According to Brigadier General of Police Wibowo, “Safe Homecoming” is not only about traffic engineering, service posts, or securing accident-prone areas, but also starts with complete and valid vehicle administration. Completeness such as active driving licenses (SIM), valid vehicle registration certificates (STNK), valid vehicle ownership certificates (BPKB), and compliance with vehicle registration and identification are the basic foundations of safety and order.

“Gen-Z is a digital generation that is creative and has a great influence in the public sphere and on social media. We invite them to be agents of change, campaigning for the importance of compliant vehicle administration as part of a culture of road safety,” said Brigadier General of Police Wibowo.

He emphasized that compliant administration is not just a legal obligation, but a form of moral responsibility towards oneself, family, and fellow road users. Vehicles that are properly and legally registered will facilitate supervision, legal protection, and handling in the event of undesirable incidents during the journey.

Meanwhile, the meaning of “Happy Family” is the ultimate goal of all these efforts. Homecoming is an emotional journey to gather with parents and relatives. This happiness can only be achieved if the journey is carried out with discipline, obeying the rules, and ensuring that all aspects of the vehicle—both technical and administrative—are in good condition.

Through “Polantas Menyapa,” the Director of Registration and Identification of Korlantas Polri also encourages digital education, interactive discussions, and creative campaigns on various platforms that are close to Gen-Z. The hope is that a collective awareness of compliant vehicle administration will grow as a new lifestyle for the younger generation.

“We want safety to be a need, not just an obligation. When administration is compliant, vehicles are roadworthy, and drivers are disciplined, then homecoming will be safe and families will be happy,” said Brigadier General of Police Wibowo.

With collaboration between the authorities, young people, and all elements of society, the spirit of “Safe Homecoming, Happy Family” is expected to become a national movement that creates a safe, smooth, and humane 2026 homecoming—and brings a happy smile to every home visited.
