Körber introduces high-capacity automated warehouse for leading information management and archive storage provider
Singapore, (ANTARA/PRNewswire) - Körber has successfully completed the implementation of a high-capacity automated warehouse for a leading information management and archive storage solutions provider in Southeast Asia. This significant milestone was recently marked by an opening ceremony, with the system scheduled to be fully operational by the end of this month.
This project, completed on schedule, reflects Körber’s ongoing commitment to helping businesses modernise supply chain operations through intelligent warehouse automation. The new facility consolidates inventory previously scattered across multiple warehouses into a single, highly automated distribution centre, thereby enhancing control and operational efficiency while supporting long-term business growth.
The solution is powered by Körber’s 4-way pallet shuttle Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS), integrated with Körber’s Warehouse Control System (WCS) and automated pallet lifters. Its modular architecture allows for efficient storage and retrieval while providing the flexibility to increase capacity and adapt to evolving operational needs. The facility covers approximately 4,000 square metres and features a 23-metre-high racking structure with 18,000 usable pallet storage positions.
Once operational, the system will utilise autonomous 4-way pallet shuttles and automated pallet lifters, with a handling capacity of up to 32 pallets per hour for inbound and outbound operations. The solution is designed to optimise pallet movement, facilitate easier inventory access, and maximise the utilisation of available warehouse space.
Rising land costs and changing customer expectations faced by warehouse operators across Southeast Asia are driving the need for high-capacity storage solutions, making technologies such as 4-way pallet shuttles an increasingly important investment. This project reflects the growing adoption of next-generation pallet automation as companies continue to invest in building more resilient and future-ready supply chains.
