Kopassus Member's Motorcycle Stolen During Visit to Parents' Home in Cakung, Suspects Arrested Within 24 Hours
A Kopassus member, identified only by the initials SA (20), became a victim of motorcycle theft while visiting his parents’ home on Gg. Bona, Penggilingan Village, Cakung District, East Jakarta, on Saturday, 20 June 2026. Cakung Police Chief AKP Andre Tri Putra stated that the police moved quickly and arrested two suspects in less than 24 hours. One suspect is the alleged executor of the theft, and the other is suspected of being a receiver of the stolen motorcycle. “The theft suspect arrested is Harto (21), and the receiver of the stolen motorcycle is named Sikin (39). Suspect Harto admitted to stealing the motorcycle by damaging the handlebar lock using a T-key. The suspect confessed that the stolen motorcycle was sold to the buyer named Sikin,” Andre told reporters on Monday, 22 June 2026. Andre further revealed that the chronology of the theft began when SA, who was undergoing training at Kopassus in Cijantung, wanted to go home to his parents’ house at the crime scene. SA then borrowed a motorcycle from a colleague. Upon arriving at his parents’ house, the victim parked the vehicle with the handlebar locked at around 5:00 PM Western Indonesia Time. “SA then entered the house, and at around 6:30 PM Western Indonesia Time, he suddenly saw that his colleague’s motorcycle was gone,” Andre explained. After reviewing CCTV footage belonging to a resident near the location, the perpetrator was seen taking the motorcycle that the victim had borrowed. SA, as a witness, immediately contacted his colleague and informed him about the theft. “The witness’s colleague explained that the motorcycle was equipped with a GPS tracker, and after checking, the motorcycle was detected moving towards Bekasi. Subsequently, on Saturday, 20 June 2026, at around 9:35 PM Western Indonesia Time, the team apprehended the suspect along with the evidence, the reported motorcycle, which was being ridden by the suspect,” he stated. A search was then conducted, and evidence was found, including one T-key, two key bits, and two magnetic keys. “The suspect admitted to his actions, and the plan was to sell the motorcycle to the receiver, Sikin, for IDR 2.5 million. Suspect Sikin was subsequently arrested at around 11:50 PM Western Indonesia Time on Jalan Chairil Anwar, East Bekasi, Bekasi City,” he said.
