Kopassus Labels 'Palace Official Slapped by Kopassus Commander' Post as Hoax

A wild rumour is circulating on social media about a brawl between the Commander of the Special Forces Command (Pangkopassus) Lieutenant General TNI Djon Afriandi and one of the palace officials. However, Kopassus has affirmed that the rumour is untrue.

Through its Instagram account @penkopassus on Tuesday (21/4/2026), Kopassus posted the information but labelled it as Hoax and Fake News. The circulating news claimed that Lieutenant General TNI Djon Afriandi slapped a palace protocol official.

“Beware, a false rumour is circulating that drags in the name of a TNI high-ranking officer and the palace environment; this narrative claims there was a brawl between Pangkopassus and the protocol side,” stated @penkopassus.

Kopassus emphasised that the information is a hoax. Kopassus assessed that the information was deliberately spread to divide the nation.

“In fact, this is merely a fabrication without valid evidence; this information is intentionally disseminated to create unrest and fracture the internal solidarity of state institutions,” it explained.
