The matter was conveyed by Kopassus’s legal counsel during the continuation of the trial held at the Jakarta II-08 Military Court in East Jakarta on Monday (11/5/2026). In this hearing, Ilham’s wife and mother-in-law were presented as additional witnesses.

“We from the Kopassus Legal Advisory Team. We can feel how you, Sir and Madam, feel in the midst of this great misfortune. We from Kopassus also wish to convey our deepest apologies,” stated the legal counsel.

Kopassus claimed to have initiated legal proceedings upon receiving information about Ilham’s murder. They immediately arrested the defendants.

“From Kopassus, we actually took actions in accordance with the law. On the night of the 20th, we received the information, and the next morning on the 21st, we directly arrested the defendants,” he said.

Ilham’s wife, Puspita Aulia, responded to the apology. She asked the Kopassus legal counsel not to force her to forgive her husband’s killers.

“What happened yesterday is something that has hurt my heart for life. So, I beg you not to force me to give them forgiveness at this time because it is painful for me,” she said.

It is known that there are a total of 16 defendants in the murder case of Ilham Pradipta, consisting of TNI personnel and several civilians. The trial at the Jakarta Military Court is being held to try three TNI soldiers who are defendants. They are:

  • Serka Mochamad Nasir (MN)

  • Kopda Feri Herianto (FH)

  • Serka Frengky Yaru (FY).

This case is also being tried at the East Jakarta District Court (PN Jaktim) with civilian defendants. The defendants tried at PN Jaktim are charged with premeditated murder of Ilham.
