KontraS Reveals Reasons Andrie Yunus Refuses Visit from Military Auditors

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Coordinator of the KontraS Working Body, Dimas Bagus Arya, revealed the reasons why KontraS Deputy Coordinator, Andrie Yunus, refused to be visited by four members of the Military Audit Office at Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM), Central Jakarta, on Tuesday (12/5/2026).

Dimas explained that the refusal was Andrie Yunus’s own decision, considering his health condition after surgery.

“Because he also considered his medical condition and the situation after the sixth operation. So, in that situation, he did not wish to be met today,” Dimas clarified to reporters at RSCM on Tuesday.

In the meeting, TAUD explained that Andrie was unwilling to be visited.

“So the essence of the meeting earlier was also to reconfirm that the visit was rejected by Andrie,” said Dimas.

Dimas added that if the Military Audit Office wishes to meet the medical team handling Andrie Yunus, they must follow the procedures in place at RSCM, one of which is by sending an official letter.

Meanwhile, the RSCM medical team also emphasised that any party wishing to visit Andrie must comply with hospital procedures and protocols.

“So there must be procedures and protocols that are followed by anyone, including state institutions,” he stressed.

Meanwhile, TAUD member Fadhil Alfathan revealed that they had received information that the Military Audit Office II-07 would visit Andrie Yunus on Monday (11/5/2026).

On the other hand, TAUD also directly asked Andrie Yunus about his willingness to receive a visit from the Military Audit Office, which is in the same large institution as the four defendants in the acid splashing attack against him.

“Andrie replied, with his medical condition also in the process of treatment and recovery, saying it’s better to just rest, better to focus on medical treatment,” he explained.

Fadhil added that TAUD had been on standby at RSCM since Monday to receive the arrival of the Military Audit Office. However, the visit only took place on Tuesday.

According to him, the schedule change without coordination shows that TAUD as the victim’s legal representative is not respected.
