Kompolnas holds Kompolnas Awards 2026 to recognise best-performing police units
The National Police Commission (Kompolnas) is organising the Kompolnas Awards 2026 as a form of appreciation for Indonesian National Police (Polri) working units that have demonstrated outstanding performance in providing services to the public.
Kompolnas Commissioner and Chairperson of the Kompolnas Awards 2026 Committee, Irjen Pol. (Ret.) Ida Oetari Poernamasasi, stated that the awards also aim to motivate other units to continuously improve the quality of their public services. “The hope is to motivate other working units through the application of best practices so that all ranks of the Indonesian National Police can continue to enhance their performance,” she said at the Kompolnas Building, South Jakarta, on Tuesday.
She explained that one of the primary aspects and a hallmark of the Kompolnas Awards assessment is the responsiveness of working units to public complaints received by Kompolnas, including the speed and quality of the subsequent follow-up actions. Furthermore, Kompolnas will conduct field visits to the top nominees to ensure that quantitative data aligns with the actual conditions on the ground.
The assessment is based on five main indicators, known as the “5Ps”: Prosperity, Planet, People, Partnership, and Peace. “We want to ensure that the data we assess in the initial stage is truly reflected in the execution of duties in the field. Therefore, the jury team will conduct direct visits to the best nominees,” she added.
The Kompolnas Awards 2026 jury consists of representatives from Kompolnas, the National Police Headquarters (Mabes Polri), academics, community leaders, and the media. The involvement of these various elements is expected to ensure an independent, objective, and comprehensive assessment process.
She also revealed that in this year’s Kompolnas Awards, participant categories have been more detailed, spanning the National Police Headquarters, regional police (Polda), district police (Polres), and sub-district police (Polsek) levels, to produce a more objective and proportional evaluation. The implementation began this June and is scheduled to culminate in an awards ceremony on 3 September 2026.
Kompolnas has opened opportunities for public participation, inviting the community, academics, media, and various other elements to provide input regarding police units deemed to provide the best services. “We urge the public to contribute feedback regarding Polda, Polres, or Polsek units that are considered to have provided the best service. This is part of a collective effort to encourage the Indonesian National Police to become increasingly professional and responsive to the needs of the community,” she said.
