Kompolnas Awards 2026 Honours Regional Units and Police Field Personnel
The National Police Commission (Kompolnes) has once again held the Kompolnas Awards 2026 ceremony. Unlike previous years, this year’s awards are not only intended for regional working units (satker) but also for field personnel.
Chairman of Kompolnas and Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs, Djamari Chaniago, stated that the awards are presented to working units ranging from National Police Headquarters (Mabes Polri), Regional Police (Polda), District Police (Polres), to Sub-district Police (Polsek). Additionally, the inclusion of individual awards represents a new dimension aimed at stimulating a positive competitive climate within the Bhayangkara Corps.
“There is a slight difference compared to before. The difference lies in providing recognition to police members serving in the field, in remote areas, and even those performing duties abroad as peacekeepers,” said Djamari at the Hotel Sari Pacific Jakarta on Thursday (17/09/2026).
“The spirit of competition needs to be continuously revitalised so that we can achieve better results than in previous periods. Alongside the Chief of National Police, I am presenting awards to those or units considered the best among the good,” he added.
In its implementation, the Kompolnas Awards 2026 assessment involved a 13-person multi-sectoral jury. The jury composition consisted of Kompolnas members, National Police representatives, academics, community leaders, religious figures, media, and independent consultants to ensure an objective, comprehensive, and credible evaluation.
Kompolnas Commissioner and Chairperson of the Kompolnas Awards 2026 Organizing Committee, Ida Oetari, revealed that the selection mechanism was conducted through two tiered schemes.
“In the initial stage, we gathered quantitative assessments from functions within the National Police Headquarters and the Presisi Post to identify the best working units. Subsequently, a top-five ranking was established for each category, including National Police Headquarters, Polda, Polres, and Polsek,” explained Ida.
“As for individuals, since this is the responsibility of the working units, they are proposed by the District Police Chiefs (Kapolres). This is because the Kapolres knows which of their members are the best,” she continued.
The Kompolnas Awards 2026 covers 11 categories divided into regional working units and individual categories, ranging from the 5P category; regional conflict task forces; Densus 88 AT (Counter-Terrorism); to UN peacekeepers.
