Komnas PA DKI Visits Bullying Victim in Central Jakarta, Vows to Oversee Legal Process
The National Commission for Child Protection (Komnas PA) DKI Jakarta has visited MWP (6), a child who was a victim of bullying at Taman Kramat Pulo, Central Jakarta. Komnas PA has pledged to oversee the victim’s psychological recovery while monitoring the legal process of the case.
“Today, we from Komnas Perlindungan Anak DKI Jakarta visited the victim’s home. We wanted to check on the victim’s condition, that is the first priority. Also, to understand how the legal process will proceed, and to hear directly from the family,” said Komnas PA DKI Jakarta Chairperson Cornelia Agatha in the Menteng area, Central Jakarta, Saturday (13/6/2026).
Cornelia stated that the visit also marked the beginning of the assistance Komnas PA will provide to the victim and their family. According to her, the family has also officially filed a report with Komnas PA DKI Jakarta.
“We are just starting today. That is why we came today to give our attention. After this, we will follow up, oversee the legal process, and coordinate with the Central Jakarta Police,” she said.
Besides overseeing the legal process, Komnas PA will also ensure the victim’s rights are fulfilled. One of the main concerns at present is the psychological recovery of Wildan, who is still experiencing trauma.
“The main thing is to ensure the victim’s rights going forward, whatever rights must be obtained,” she stated.
According to Cornelia, the victim’s condition still requires special attention. In addition to psychological trauma, Wildan is also still undergoing physical recovery due to the incident he experienced.
“Of course, psychological recovery. But also, because his condition yesterday was quite concerning, his physical health must also be prioritised at this time,” she revealed.
Cornelia disclosed that the victim is still experiencing sleep disturbances and post-incident trauma.
“At night, when sleeping, he still often has a fever, then cries. Yes, he is traumatised, his sleep is disturbed,” she said.
Because of this, Komnas PA plans to immediately provide psychological assistance to the victim. The technical steps will be discussed after coordinating with the police regarding the progress of the case handling.
“What is certain is that we are now planning to immediately provide psychological treatment, to help his recovery. Because until now, he has not received any,” she added.
