Jakarta – The National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM) has confirmed that there is no significant difference regarding the initials of the alleged perpetrators between the statements from Metro Jaya Regional Police (Polda Metro Jaya) and the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) in the case of the acid attack on KontraS activist Andrie Yunus on Thursday night, 12 March 2026.

“The difference in initials that we confirmed is not significant. They said it’s approximately the same person. It’s the same person,” said Commissioner for Monitoring and Investigation of the National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM), Saurlin P.
