JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The government, through the Ministry of Communications and Digital (Komdigi), has begun expanding the trial of social assistance digitalisation for the Family Hope Program (PKH) and Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT) in June 2026.

The system aims to address inconsistencies in beneficiary data across government agencies.

“We acknowledge ongoing challenges that require collective management, such as inter-agency data not being fully connected, leading to risks of duplicate, inconsistent, or outdated data, as well as lengthy verification processes,” Mira stated during a press conference at Komdigi on Tuesday (26 May 2026).

The government is testing digital technology in the distribution of social assistance.

The new Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) system uses the Ministry of Home Affairs’ Digital Identity (IKD) to verify beneficiary identities.

Additionally, the Government Service Linking System (SPLP) connects data between agencies.

Mira explained that SPLP acts as an intermediary between ministry and agency systems.

With this system, social assistance beneficiary data can be checked across agencies without moving all data to a single location.

“Data remains with the owning agency,” she stressed.

The government has also prepared the Perlinsos portal for public access to social assistance services.

Through the portal, citizens can register, monitor verification processes, and view eligibility assessment results.

The system includes an objection mechanism, allowing citizens to challenge verification outcomes if they believe them to be incorrect.
