The Ministry of Communication and Digital (Komdigi), together with mobile operators, has prepared around 500 command posts throughout Indonesia to ensure the smooth operation of telecommunications and internet services during Nyepi and Eid al-Fitr 2026. These command posts have proven effective in managing on-the-ground dynamics, especially during traffic spikes on Thursday (19/3/2026), coinciding with the Pengerupukan event close to the 2026 Lebaran holidays. Komdigi’s Radio Frequency Spectrum Monitoring Centre (Balmon SFR), along with operators, promptly addressed various challenges. Over 90% of incoming complaints were successfully handled by the alert command posts. “Specifically for Bali, the average is 105 Mbps, above the national average. At Ngurah Rai Airport itself, the speed is above 200 Mbps, even reaching 250 Mbps. Thank you to the operators who have worked to keep connectivity good,” she stated in a press release received by Kompas.com on Tuesday (24/3/2026). The statement was made by Meutya during her inspection of the Integrated Command Post at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali, on Tuesday. Based on the inspection results at Ngurah Rai Airport, Meutya emphasised that frequency interference disruptions were very minimal, under 30 seconds. This condition is deemed safe and not hazardous, despite the increase in flight activities during the 2026 Lebaran homecoming period. Monitoring through the command posts will continue until 29 March 2026.
