Komdigi and media conduct journalistic visit to SRT 7 Probolinggo
Probolinggo (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Communication and Digitalisation, together with several local and national media outlets, conducted a journalistic visit to the Integrated People’s School (SRT) 7 in Probolinggo, East Java.
“This journalistic visit is part of the Ministry of Komdigi’s functions, particularly the Directorate General of Public Communication and Media (KPM), to facilitate media colleagues in directly observing President Prabowo’s programmes, especially the People’s School,” said Director of Media Ecosystem at the Ministry of Communication and Digitalisation, Farida Dewi Maharani, at SRT 7 Probolinggo, East Java, on Friday.
On that occasion, her side monitored the implementation of technology use in the teaching and learning process at the school.
“SRT 7 Probolinggo is one of the pilot (People’s Schools) that has adopted technology in their learning processes,” said Farida Dewi Maharani.
She also observed that the implementation of screen time restrictions at the school was quite good.
SRT 7 Probolinggo is a boarding school for junior and senior high school levels that began operating in July 2025 in the Mayangan area, Probolinggo City.
The number of students at SRT 7 Probolinggo is recorded at 91 pupils.
Embracing the concept of integrated education, the school not only emphasises academic aspects but also character building in students’ daily lives.
The People’s School programme is a priority initiative of the Prabowo Subianto administration targeted at children from poor and extremely poor families, who are strictly selected based on the National Socio-Economic Single Data (DTSEN).
