Komdigi: 6 June is the deadline for PSE to report self-assessment under PP Tunas
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Communication and Digital (Komdigi) has emphasised that 6 June 2026 is the deadline for electronic system operators (PSE) to report their self-assessment risk evaluations to the Government in line with the implementation of PP Tunas.
The implementing regulation for Government Regulation No. 17 of 2025 on Child Protection in the Governance of Electronic Systems (PP Tunas) states that this self-assessment requirement applies to all PSE operating in Indonesia, regardless of whether their services are global or local.
“For other platforms, we are also reminding them to conduct a self-assessment with a deadline of 6 June this year. So, if you haven’t done so, please submit your self-assessment soon to avoid a pile-up at the end,” said Minister of Communication and Digital Meutya Hafid at the Komdigi Ministry Office in Central Jakarta on Tuesday.
The self-assessment results from each PSE will subsequently be re-evaluated by the Government through a dedicated team at Komdigi.
Based on Ministerial Regulation No. 9 of 2026 as the implementing rule for PP Tunas, several applicable sanctions for platforms that fail to comply with this regulation include administrative penalties such as warning letters, temporary access suspension, and access termination.
Although sanctions for non-compliance with PP Tunas will be imposed gradually, Meutya has urged PSE to meet the requirements before the final deadline.
“We will enforce this regulation. So, we hope no platform tries to test the waters or delay until 6 June,” Meutya stressed.
As of 28 April 2026, seven digital platforms have committed to implementing PP Tunas to provide a safe digital space for Indonesian children. These seven platforms are X, Bigo Live, TikTok, Facebook, Threads, Instagram, and YouTube.
Roblox is currently categorised as partially compliant with PP Tunas, so intensive discussions are ongoing with Komdigi to achieve full compliance.
Most recently, Komdigi announced that in the implementation of PP Tunas, TikTok has become the first PSE to take concrete steps.
This platform has actively closed accounts of children under 16 to ensure Indonesian children are protected in the digital space, with a total of 1.7 million child accounts closed as of 28 April 2026.
