Kombes Adhitya Panji Inaugurated as Head of Sleman Regional Police
The position of Head of Sleman Regional Police has now been filled. The Regional Police Chief of Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY), Inspector General Anggoro Sukartono, inaugurated Brigadier General Adhitya Panji Anom.
Brigadier General Adhitya formally replaced Brigadier General Edy Setyanto Erning Wibowo, who has been transferred to the Police Legal Division. Adhitya previously served as Accreditor of the Police Internal Affairs Division Level III at Police Headquarters. The inauguration ceremony was held in the Video Conference Room, 3rd Floor of the Regional Police Headquarters, Yogyakarta, on Wednesday (11 March).
The Head of Public Relations of the Regional Police Headquarters, Brigadier General Ihsan, stated that the inauguration of the Head of Sleman Regional Police was a follow-up to the Police Chief’s signal telegram dated 27 February 2026 regarding dismissal from and appointment to positions within the Police.
“This inauguration is a follow-up to the personnel transfers within the Police that occurred some time ago,” said Ihsan in a written statement on Thursday (12 March 2026).
He added that the position of Head of Sleman Regional Police is a highly strategic role. It is characterised by a region with very complex conditions and the largest population in the Yogyakarta Special Region.
For this reason, the newly inaugurated Regional Police Head is expected to strengthen coordination with the local government, relevant agencies and all elements of society in maintaining security and public order in Sleman Regency.
“We hope that the newly inaugurated officer can quickly adapt, especially in preparing for the implementation of Operation Ketupat Progo 2026, which will be carried out shortly,” said Ihsan.
Previously, the former Head of Sleman Regional Police, Brigadier General Edy Setyanto Erning Wibowo, was given a disciplinary sanction in the form of a written reprimand and demotion. The sanction was given in relation to the Hogi Minaya case, which became viral and attracted public attention.
Head of Public Relations at Regional Police Headquarters Brigadier General Ihsan explained that the disciplinary hearing for Edy was chaired by the Regional Police Inspector General Brigadier General I Gusti Ngurah Rai Mahaputra and was held on Thursday (26 February).
“The disciplinary hearing was conducted on the basis of findings from an audit by the Regional Police Internal Inspectorate, in which violations were discovered related to the failure to conduct oversight of the investigation into a traffic accident case handled by the Traffic Unit of Sleman Regional Police, which went viral and caused public disturbance,” said Ihsan.
From the results of the hearing, Edy was found to have committed violations in managerial aspects and supervisory responsibility. For these violations, he was given a written reprimand and a demotion transfer.
“Based on the results of the disciplinary hearing, it was decided that the person concerned was given a sanction in the form of a written reprimand and a demotion transfer,” he affirmed.
