Kombes Adhitya Officially Replaces Rio Wahyu as Bogor City Police Chief
The Bogor City Police Headquarters held a traditional ‘pedang pora’ ceremony to welcome the new leader and pay tribute to the outgoing chief. The position of Bogor City Police Chief, previously held by Kombes Rio Wahyu Anggoro, has now officially been succeeded by Kombes Adhity Panji Anom.
The ceremony took place at the Bogor City Police Headquarters on Jalan Kapten Muslihat, Bogor City. The event was attended by the Mayor of Bogor, Dedie A Rachim, Deputy Mayor Jenal Mutaqin, the Chairman of the Bogor City Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) Adhitya Warman, and leaders of the Bogor City Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda).
In his remarks, Kombes Rio stated that Kombes Adhitya Panji Anom is the right figure to continue the leadership at the Bogor City Police. Rio also expressed his hope that the synergy between the Bogor City Police and the Bogor City Forkopimda would be maintained.
“I am confident he is the right choice, and I also hope to continue working in good synergy,” said Rio on Tuesday (29/09/2026).
The Bogor City Police Public Relations Officer, Ipda Imam, noted that the ‘pedang pora’ tradition serves as both a welcome for the new leader and a farewell to the previous one. The proceedings were conducted with great solemnity.
“The Bogor City Police held a series of official activities as part of the tradition to welcome the Bogor City Police Chief, Kombes Pol Adhitya Panji Anom, and to bid farewell to Kombes Pol Rio Wahyu Anggoro,” said Imam.
“This activity was carried out with full solemnity as a form of respect to the leader who has completed his term of duty and to welcome the new leadership,” he added.
The Chairman of the Bogor City DPRD, Adityawarman, expressed his appreciation for Kombes Rio’s dedication and service during his tenure as Bogor City Police Chief. He expressed hope that Kombes Adhitya Panji Anom, who previously served as the Sleman Police Chief, would further strengthen collaboration with the Bogor City Government, the DPRD, and various elements of society.
“Leadership changes are part of organisational dynamics. We express our appreciation for the service provided by Kombes Pol Rio Wahyu Anggoro during his duty in Bogor City,” said Adityawarman.
“We hope the new Bogor City Police Chief can carry out his mandate well and continue to build synergy with all stakeholders to provide the best service to the community,” he added.
