This is not easily achieved without commitment from the management and supervisors. There has been an increase from the previous year.

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Employee Services Cooperative of the ANTARA News Agency (Kokantara) has recorded growth in its performance throughout the 2025 fiscal year, with assets increasing to Rp12.5 billion from the previous Rp11.6 billion.

Assistant Deputy for Organisations and Legal Entities of the Ministry of Cooperatives (Kemenkop), Try Aditya Putra, stated this while attending the Annual Members’ Meeting (RAT) of Kokantara in Jakarta on Thursday, based on the 2025 financial report submitted to the ministry, the cooperative’s working capital rose from Rp10.1 billion in 2024 to Rp11.1 billion in 2025.

In addition, the business volume also increased to Rp10.8 billion from the previous Rp10.4 billion, while the remaining business results (SHU) reached Rp1.4 billion.

Try said that this achievement reflects an improvement in the cooperative’s performance, which is managed consistently.

Nevertheless, he assessed that this positive trend needs to be maintained through strengthening supervision mechanisms and encouraging innovation in every development.

Furthermore, Try said that Kokantara, as an employee cooperative, has a strategic role as a shared economic vehicle that can meet members’ needs, including providing more affordable financing access.

“Employee cooperatives can be a financing solution, so they do not get trapped in online loans or other burdensome loans,” he stated.

According to him, one collaboration opportunity that can be utilised is with the Village/Urban Village Cooperatives (Kopdes/Kel) Merah Putih, which are currently being built by the government in various regions.

He said that Kokantara can partner with the Merah Putih Urban Village Cooperatives located in respective urban villages. This, he believes, is important considering that new cooperatives usually still face operational limitations and thus require support from other cooperatives that were established earlier.

“What becomes Kokantara’s strength can be made into a space for cooperation. For example, if Kokantara has a rental business or outsourcing services, it certainly does not rule out the possibility of collaborating with the Merah Putih Cooperatives,” he said.
