Koja Explore 2026 Drives Creative Economy and Community Creativity

The North Jakarta City Government stated that the Koja Explore 2026 event is capable of driving the community’s economy while serving as a space for residents’ creativity through the empowerment of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and the development of the creative economy in the region. “We appreciate all parties who have contributed to the success of this event,” said North Jakarta Deputy Mayor Fredy Setiawan, opening the Koja Explore 2026 event at the Rawa Badak Selatan Stadium, Koja District, Jakarta, on Sunday. He assessed that Koja Explore is a real example of synergy between the government and the community, thanking all community components who have worked together so that this event could run well. “Hopefully, events like this can continue to be held in the future,” he said. According to him, the Koja area possesses strong community diversity with a spirit of mutual cooperation that is continuously maintained. This event also provides many benefits, such as strengthening ties between residents, encouraging the growth of small and medium enterprises (SMEs), and serving as a creative space for the younger generation. He reminded attendees of the importance of maintaining environmental cleanliness during the event. He also invited the public not to litter and to start getting used to sorting waste from the source. “My message is, let us maintain environmental cleanliness. Reduce the use of single-use plastics and get used to sorting waste from home,” he said. Meanwhile, the Event Organising Chairman, Abdullah Ali, explained that Koja Explore 2026 was organised by the Urban Village Consultative Councils (LMK) throughout Koja District together with the community, aiming to strengthen togetherness and encourage creative economic growth. If the first edition focused on building a foundation for collaboration, this year’s event highlights the local potential of the Koja community. He mentioned various activities presented at the event, such as mass circumcision, MSME product exhibitions, interactive discussions, and musical entertainment that attracted public interest. “This event serves as a platform to explore creative economic potential, arts and culture, while increasing environmental awareness,” he said. He hopes this event will not just be an annual event but can become a first step in encouraging sustainable collaboration and innovation in the Koja area. “Through Koja Explore 2026, it is hoped that the community will participate more actively in regional development and be able to create an environment that is advanced, creative, and maintains cleanliness,” he said.
