Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Lunaria Annua Teknologi (KoinP2P), a subsidiary of the fintech platform PT Sejahtera Lunaria Annua (KoinWorks), is committed to cooperating in the investigation of an alleged credit corruption case implicating three company executives.

In an official statement in Jakarta on Monday, KoinP2P management stated that it will follow and respect the ongoing legal process, upholding the principle of presumption of innocence.

The company explained that the matter relates to one of its institutional funding cooperation schemes (channeling) with PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BRI).

“In that scheme, the funding process is carried out through a cooperation mechanism between the platform and BRI in accordance with each party’s roles in the applicable funding channelling cooperation relationship,” said KoinP2P management, quoted from the written statement.

The company emphasised that it will respect the current process and believes that all facts and each party’s roles in the funding channelling cooperation scheme can be explained more completely and transparently through the applicable legal mechanisms.

Alongside the ongoing process, the company’s operational activities and services to users continue normally, including the collection process against borrowers.

In a similar vein, BRI Corporate Secretary Dhanny stated that the company is committed to cooperating in the investigation of the alleged corruption case in the channelling of financing at KoinWorks’ subsidiary fintech platform.

He explained that the company will also respect the law enforcement process being carried out by the authorities.

“The company will act cooperatively and follow all processes in accordance with applicable provisions,” said Dhanny in Jakarta on Thursday (7/5).

He also assured that the company always prioritises the principles of Good Corporate Governance (GCG), prudential banking, and risk management in carrying out every business process and operational activity.

On Wednesday (6/5), the Jakarta High Prosecutor’s Office (Kejati DKI Jakarta) detained three suspects in the alleged criminal corruption case of channelling funds from one of Jakarta’s banks through the KoinP2P fintech platform.

“This detention has been carried out since Wednesday (6/5) for up to twenty days ahead at Cipinang Detention Centre and Salemba Detention Centre,” said the Head of the Legal Information Section of Kejati DKI Jakarta, Dapot Dariarma.

The three suspects are BAA, as Operational Director of KoinP2P from 2021 to the present; BH, as President Director of KoinP2P from 2015-2022 and Commissioner of KoinP2P since 2022 to the present; and JB, as President Director of KoinP2P from 2024 to the present.

Kejati DKI stated that the three suspects are alleged to have colluded based on an unworthy analysis in submitting and channelling financing unlawfully from one of Jakarta’s banks to several customers.

The Financial Services Authority (OJK) has also summoned the management and shareholders of KoinP2P to follow up on the case.

“In connection with the ongoing legal process and the detention of KoinP2P’s management by the Jakarta Special Region High Prosecutor’s Office, OJK has summoned the shareholders,” said the Head of the Surveillance and Integrated Financial Services Sector Policy Department, Agus Firmansyah.

In a written statement received in Semarang, Central Java, on Friday (8/5), OJK stated that this summons aims to affirm that responsibility for the continuity of KoinP2P’s business activities remains with the shareholders.

“Including ensuring that operations and services to the public continue to run in accordance with applicable provisions,” he added.
