Koh Iwan Network Dealer Has Distributed Crystal Meth in Surabaya Twice

The National Police Criminal Investigation Directorate (Dittipidnarkoba Bareskrim Polri) has arrested a man named Abdul Muid, alias Dul (46), for transporting narcotics while travelling from Jakarta to Surabaya. Police stated that the illegal substances were obtained by Dul from a drug recidivist named Iwan Sebastian, also known as Koh Iwan.

“The source of the goods is Iwan Sebastian, alias Koh Iwan; they were previously incarcerated together at the Cipinang Narcotics Prison between 2019 and 2025,” stated Brigadier General Eko Hadi in a statement on Friday (31/07/2026).

During his journey, Dul travelled by bus from Jakarta and was apprehended at a rest area. The arrest took place in the early hours of Saturday (25/07) at approximately 02:00 WIB.

“The crime scene of the arrest of the suspect Abdul Muid, alias Dul, was at Rest Area 338A of the Pekalongan Toll Road, Karangdadap District, Pekalongan Regency, Central Java,” said Eko.

During the arrest, police seized several pieces of evidence, including plastic packaging containing crystal methamphetamine and mobile phones.

“The evidence secured includes one black backpack, one plastic bag suspected to contain Class 1 narcotics (crystal methamphetamine) weighing approximately 100 grams, one light green Vivo Y27 mobile phone, and one black Vivo Y36 mobile phone,” he revealed.

Police stated that Dul has distributed drugs in Surabaya on two previous occasions. Dul sold 100 grams of crystal methamphetamine, stored in ziplock bags, for a price of between Rp 35 million and Rp 40 million. As a result of his actions, Dul faces the threat of life imprisonment.

“As referred to in Article 114 paragraph (2) of Law Number 35 of 2023 concerning Narcotics, subsidiarity Article 609 paragraph (2) letter a of the Indonesian Criminal Code (KUHP) in conjunction with Law No. 1 of 2026 regarding Criminal Law Adjustment,” he added.
