Koffiku: Pertamina's Exhibition Support Boosts MSME Enthusiasm
Surabaya-based coffee MSME Koffiku has stated that support from Pertamina through various exhibitions has made business actors more enthusiastic about developing their businesses and expanding their markets. This facilitation has helped Koffiku participate in promotional activities, including the Pertamina SMEXPO Merah Putih 2026, without having to bear the entire exhibition costs independently. Koffiku Export Marketing representative Ira Susanti said that the cost of participating in exhibitions has been one of the challenges for MSMEs. Therefore, Pertamina’s support has greatly assisted Koffiku in introducing its products while seeking new market opportunities. “With the support from Pertamina, which has financial strength, we are greatly helped. Because sometimes we have to pay for exhibitions ourselves, and that is quite burdensome,” Ira told Republika at the exhibition venue on Tuesday (11/8/2026). She recounted how Koffiku received the opportunity to participate in various events facilitated by Pertamina, both international and local events. Koffiku is also one of Pertamina’s fostered MSMEs in the coffee sector participating in Pertamina SMEXPO Merah Putih, an annual exhibition that serves as a platform for Pertamina’s fostered MSMEs to introduce and market their superior products. In participating in this activity in Jakarta, Ira said Koffiku received support for accommodation and transport. This support also covered the journey from Surabaya to the activity location and the return trip. “We entered the exhibition for free, and we were also supported with accommodation because we are far away, from Surabaya. Those in Jakarta were supported with accommodation and transport,” she said. According to Ira, these facilities allow MSME actors to focus more on carrying out activities at the exhibition location. Koffiku simply needs to bring its products and maximise the opportunity to sell and introduce products to visitors. “Everything, land, sea, and air, is paid for round trip. That is what makes MSMEs more enthusiastic. We just have to struggle and go all out on the ground,” she said. This support was also met with a positive response from consumers. On the first day of the exhibition, Koffiku recorded sales of Rp2.55 million. Koffiku offers instant coffee without grounds that can be brewed directly. The product has several black coffee variants, such as Robusta, Robusta Gourmet, Arabica, Arabica Gold, and Blend, as well as latte variants like Cappuccino, Vanilla Latte, Hazelnut, Almond, and 2 in 1. Koffiku has also developed a sales network through offline stores in Tangerang, Solo, and Surabaya. Marketing is carried out through Tokopedia, Shopee, TikTok, and Instagram, with a workforce of around 20 people. For Koffiku, participating in exhibitions facilitated by Pertamina is not only an opportunity to sell. These activities also open up opportunities to meet potential buyers from abroad.
