The Head of the Kodam XVII Cendrawasih Information Centre, Lieutenant Colonel Inf Tri Purwanto, in Jayapura on Wednesday, confirmed that one of the victims of the attack and arson carried out by the KKB at the security post belonging to PT Kristalin Eka Lestari (KEL) in Legari, Makimi District, Nabire Regency, was a TNI (Indonesian National Armed Forces) member serving in Denintel Kodam XVII Cendrawasih.
“The deceased, Serda Hamdani, was a member of Deninteldam XVII/Cendrawasih who was carrying out territorial monitoring duties in Nabire,” he said.
He added that in the incident that occurred on Saturday (February 21), in addition to the late Serda Hamdani, there was also one civilian victim, namely Aksay Sandika Moho, who was an employee of PT KEL.
