Kodaeral III Provides Aid for Fire Victims in Kemayoran
The Indonesian Navy, through the Naval Regional Command III (Kodaeral III), has provided food and emergency kitchen supplies to residents affected by a fire in the Kemayoran area, Central Jakarta. In an official press release received on Thursday, it was explained that the aid was given when Kodaeral III Commander Rear Admiral Uki Prasetia and Navy officials directly inspected the fire site on Tuesday. “The presence of Kodaeral III and its ranks is a tangible implementation of the Navy Chief of Staff’s emphasis that Navy personnel must be responsive to the people’s difficulties, responsive to emergency conditions, and able to be part of the solution for communities in need,” said Uki. Uki stated this activity is also part of executing the order of Navy Chief of Staff Admiral Muhammad Ali to maintain trust and increase concern for the people. During his visit, Uki took the time to dialogue with several residents who were fire victims. While engaging with them, his team distributed aid including bottled water and instant noodle packages to the victims. “We have also established a health post on site specifically to serve the fire victims,” said Uki. The health post is equipped with a medical team and a psychological service team ready to serve the fire victims. In addition, Uki also ordered his ranks to deploy water tanker trucks to distribute clean water so that the community can enjoy clean water to meet their daily needs. “We have also sent aid in the form of tent accommodation and field beds for the community to rest, as well as generators for electricity supply,” he said. Uki confirmed that the various aid facilities will remain at the disaster site until the situation returns to normal. With this assistance, Uki hopes the disaster victims can live their post-disaster lives more decently.
