Koba Tin has new president
SINGAPORE: Indonesia-based PT Koba Tin named Mohd Anuar Sidek
the president director of the company effective Friday, replacing
Peter Jackson, Malaysia Smelting Corp. Bhd. said in a statement.
The change followed Malaysia Smelting's acquisition of a 75
percent stake in the Indonesian tin producer from Australia-based
Iluka Resources Ltd. in April this year, the company said.
Sidek has been the chief executive of Tronoh Mines Malaysia
Bhd. before joining Koba Tin.
Koba Tin's production capacity is 10,000 metric tons a year.
PT Tambang Timah holds the other 25 percent in the company. --Dow
