KNPI Marks 53rd Anniversary with Orphan Donations, Strengthening Spirit of Togetherness

Jakarta, VIVA – The Central Board of the Indonesian National Youth Committee (DPP KNPI) held a thanksgiving ceremony to mark the organisation’s 53rd anniversary at the DPP KNPI secretariat on Jalan Rasuna Said, Jakarta, on Thursday, 23 July 2026.

The event, which took place in a solemn and familial atmosphere, served as a moment to strengthen organisational solidarity, deepen bonds of friendship, and reaffirm KNPI’s commitment to serving the nation.

The ceremony was attended by DPP KNPI officials, KNPI seniors, youth figures, youth organisations, and the Head of the Intelligence and Security Agency (Kabaintelkam) of the National Police, representing the National Police Chief.

Also present were dozens of orphans who took part in the series of social activities held as part of the 53rd anniversary commemorations.

The proceedings began with a communal prayer as an expression of gratitude for KNPI’s 53-year journey. As a gesture of compassion for others, the DPP KNPI presented donations to the orphaned children.

The activity was a tangible expression of KNPI’s commitment that the spirit of youth must go hand in hand with humanitarian values and social concern.

The highlight of the event was marked by the cutting of a tumpeng (ceremonial rice cone), symbolising gratitude as well as the hope that KNPI will always remain a great home for Indonesian youth — solid, independent, and capable of making a genuine contribution to the nation’s progress.

In his address, the Chairman of the DPP KNPI, Ali Hanafiah, affirmed that the 53rd year is a moment to strengthen youth unity and enhance collaboration with all elements of the nation.

“KNPI must continue to be a unifying forum for Indonesian youth, capable of generating ideas, works and genuine service. At 53, we must become more solid, strengthen collaboration, safeguard unity, and take a strategic role in the success of national development towards Golden Indonesia 2045,” he said.

The attendance of the Head of the National Police’s Intelligence and Security Agency reflected the close synergy between KNPI and the National Police in preserving national unity, strengthening security stability, and encouraging the active involvement of the younger generation in nation-building.

Through the 53rd anniversary commemoration, the DPP KNPI reaffirmed its commitment to remaining a youth organisation that is adaptive, inclusive, and dedicated to serving the community.
